Step 1: Individualized Customized Treatment That Focuses On Your Needs
“First things first. To know where we are going, we want to know where we are.”
How you are doing right now and what do you need?
Since our goal is to help you achieve your own goals, that’s the most important thing. Conversation with a Square One Treatment Coordinator is about understanding your situation and then figuring out where to go from here. Most of us at Square One are in recovery or friends and family or people in recovery. We get the struggle.
Once we know those things, we can start putting together an intake plan:
- What day/time schedule works best?
- Can we work with your insurance company?
- And of course, whatever else needs to be decided to make your journey with Square One most beneficial for you.
Step 2: Clinical Assessment
“I made my own assessment of my life, and I began to live it. That was freedom.”
The next thing a new client does at Square One Clinics is a deep assessment. You’ll meet your Primary Therapist and over the course of an hour or two, you and your Therapist will get to know each other. The Therapist will discuss a range of topics with you, all designed to help us understand what changes in your life are going to help you overcome your struggle with addiction.
Substance use is a coping mechanism that helps you deal with something that’s not right in your life. Finding what’s not working, helps us understand the client as a whole person, which is the basis for how we’ll be able to help you.
Step 3: Treatment Planning & Goal Setting
“If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.”
Every Square One Clinics client to participates and is actively engaged in the development and subsequent review of theis customized treatment plan. The treatment plan includes:
- goals and related measurable behavioral objectives to be achieved by the client and their treatment team,
- the tasks involved in achieving those objectives,
- the type and frequency of services to be provided, and
- the expected dates of completion.
Step 4: We Get To Work
“Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world.”
Now that we know where we are, we know what our goals are, it’s time to take the action that leads to the desired outcome—Recovery! As you progress toward achieving your goals, and learn from your new friends in group, your Primary Therapist will be making sure that all of the external factors and people in your life are also moving in the right direction. Whether making sure that we address medical concerns or living situations or work life issues, or even reconciling with family members, your Therapist is there to help you manage everything that wraps around your therapy work too.
